Temple University's Stand By Generator

 Temple University concluded due to existing expansion and
anticipated new construction throughout their North Philadelphia
Campus a need for adequate protection would be needed to ensure
stand-by power should a power outage occur.
To ensure a proper power back-up system, Temple University
built a 16MW at 4160 v standby power generator to fulfill their
need.
The project was built without interruption to the schools
operation, which included education, administration and campus
security.
Because the standby generators are located in the heart of
the campus a need for quiet operation and low emissions was
mandatory. These features were designed and constructed along
with a State-of-the-Art rapid start up system. |
