Bertino & Associates personnel oversaw the team providing
full construction management services for preconstruction,
construction and close out phases for the West Chester Area
School District reconstruction project. This program includes
the construction of a new high school on a new site; renovations
and additions to two existing and occupied high schools with one
to be converted into a middle school; and the construction of
new athletic fields and stadiums at the three facilities.
Construction of the new Rustin High School in Thornbury
Township, Chester County begin January 2002. This new 310,000
square foot building is estimated at $51.4 million. The site
will accommodate 17 athletic fields and parking. Construction
will be completed in 2006.
Construction will also begin in January of 2002 on
renovations and renovations and expansions program at the
Henderson and East High Schools and Fugett Middle School, a
combined facility which will be converted into East High School.
