The D. C. Capital Hilton Hotel Washington, DC

This 1,600 room hotel was completely gutted and re-built over an 18-month multi-phased schedule, resulting in an 1,200 room luxury hotel. Included in the renovations were all public spaces, lobbies, restaurants, ballroom, meeting rooms, and back-of-house spaces. The hotel remained in complete operation throughout renovations. Environmental abatement work was also performed. Michael S. Bertino was Principal-in-Charge from design through construction while with Mellon-Stuart Company.
