Client:
Foxwoods Resort & Casino Bertino & Associates, the lead Partner in a Joint Venture
with URS, were selected as the Program Manager, Owner’s Agent
for the most recent expansion project at Foxwoods Resort and
Casino.
This $700 million dollar Project is a free standing hotel and
casino designed to compliment the extraordinary existing
facilities and to provide additional meeting and convention
space.
The 28 story hotel will consist of 824 rooms including 9
Hospitality Suites, 2 Presidential Suites, and 202 Guest Room
Suites. Included within the hotel is a 20,000 square foot luxury
spa, pool and health club.
The Low Rise portion of the project consists of a 50,000
square foot Grand Ballroom; a 18,000 square foot Junior
Ballroom, 10,000 square foot of Meeting Rooms; a 4,200 seat
world class Theater for concerts and Broadway shows; a 50,000
square foot Casino; Food Court; two Restaurants and two level
Night Club. Adjacent to the Low Rise is a free standing elegant
restaurant overlooking a five acre garden of fountains, pool,
plaza and multiple planting areas.
The Low Rise is connected to a 2,900 car Parking facility
with a casino Valet drop-off and a bus depot.
The entire expansion is self sufficient with its own Central
Plant, Back of House Facilities and Employee Cafeteria.
Construction is to start November 1, 2005 with an opening of
March of 2008.
